Your Mission

As a Mold Process Technician, you will set up, operate, and optimize injection molding machines to ensure the consistent production of precision plastic parts. Your expertise will drive efficiency, reduce scrap, and maintain the highest quality standards – helping us deliver products that Make People Safer, Healthier, and More Productive.

What You’ll Do - Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize safety at all times, encouraging those around you to do the same
  • Set up, process, and troubleshoot various injection molds and thermoplastics resins
  • Perform tooling changeovers, mold maintenance, and minor tool repair
  • Execute pad printing, insert heat staking, and other secondary operations
  • Ensure proper mold, material, and auxiliary equipment setup before startup
  • Monitor production processes, quickly addressing issues to minimize downtime
  • Drive process improvements in cycle time, scrap reduction, and efficiency
  • Partner with team members in molding operations and best practice
  • Collaborate across shifts for smooth transitions and consistent communication
  • Partner with planning to meet production schedules and customer demands
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure parts meet specifications

What You’ll Bring

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail and visual acuity
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude with a working knowledge of plastic injection molding equipment, thermoplastic resins and injection molds
  • Knowledge of set-up and tear-down procedures of injection molds
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
  • Able to utilize precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment to monitor quality
  • Working knowledge of quality management systems and procedures based on the ISO Standard.

Desired Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Injection molding certification plus 5 years of progressive manufacturing experience
  • 2 years of previous supervisory experience
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Alternate education and experience considered based on individual candidate

Language Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Physical Demands:

  • Standing, 6+ hours per normal workday
  • Sitting, less than 2 hours per normal workday
  • Requires lifting and moving materials of up to 75 lbs

Work Environment:

  • Machine shop environment and/or production floor
  • Expect shop temperature to be hot during the summer months
